This is the most personal song that they ever written.
Jared Leto, the singer made statements about this song, he said "it's the story of my brother and I going to Los Angeles to make our dreams come true. It's a love letter to that beautiful and bizarre land."
He also explained that the song could refer to any place where a person go to fulfill his own dreams.
He stated, "That was a very personal song, obviously, about a specific place: Los Angeles. But it could be... well, when I was a younger kid, it was New York City. That was the place where I went to make my dreams come true, at that time to be a painter, an artist. I was in art school and New York was the place where you went to makes those things come alive. And as I got older, I started studying film and I came out to Los Angeles. But it could be Paris, it could be Shanghai, it could be San Francisco, Palo Alto, anywhere. A place where you go to realize yourself and your dreams."

For me, this song is so beautiful. When I get older, I want to travel the world, that's my dream! I don't want to have kids in the age of 20ish, I hate baby for now, because I still want to know the world before I and boyfriend someday getting married, so getting married IS NOT the no. 1 on the list.

For every girl who (maybe) read this post, GO TRAVEL THE WORLD you bitches! Because we don't know when we die, but the world is for us to travel, to learn about people, learn about culture, learn about differences, learn about everything and get experience that can never be bought. I know, I know, I myself have never go to Los Angeles, but someday I will be there.

And if you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend to travel the world with, just be a lone traveler or ask your best friend to join you so you can share the experience with them.
